82nd Airborne Back To Afghanistan

Stars & Stripes reports that the newly-formed 4th Brigade Combat Team will be re-re-deploying to Afghanistan. Details of the deployment have not yet been released. The 3rd Brigade Combat Team will be re-deploying to Iraq later this month, and, with two of the four Infantry Brigades gone, the 82nd Airborne will be hard pressed to fulfill its mandate of America's Rapid Deployment Force.

It just makes it more challenging is all.

My husband is in the 2nd Brigade here and they're geared up and ready to go where ever they might be needed!

Second Brigade, HA! I was in The Panther Brigade (3d) myself ;oD More challenging, yes, but man those guys need a little rest, and some training time. It doesn't look like things are going to get better any time soon. I've even seen reports that a Brigade will be sent to Israel (hopefully FALSE reports)! I pray for your husband and all of the brave men and women of the Division, as well as all of our Armed Forces.

Thanks for the prayers Cop, we can use all we can get!

I haven't heard anything about going to Israel, so hopefully that IS a false rumor.

But, if they get the word to go (to Israel or anywhere else), I'll be sure to post about it!

Hey!
Great Idea. Post more stuff that violates the OPSEC of the unit and puts your husband and former 3d BDE friends in harms way.
Everyone is gathering data. Question is.... what are they doing with it.

"All the Way!"
