LAPD Officer Needs Help

In some ways, being a cop is a lot tougher than serving in the military, but one thing is certainly the same: the camaraderie. So naturally when something like this LAPD Blog: Los Angeles Police Officer Critically Injured in Shooting with Armed Robbery Suspect happens, I get extremely pissed off. Some scumbag, third-strike, violent repeat offender shoots an outstanding young cop over a gas station robbery. To make matters worse, the suspect ran right in front of their unit before the robbery had even been reported. The two officers literally had no idea what this Adam Henry had just done when he turned and fired on them.

Officer Ripatti, whose husband is also an LAPD Officer and rolled on the "11-99, Officer Down" call, is still in very serious condition. If you are interested in helping, you can make a donation or attend a fundraiser on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 (courtesy of LAPD Wife ) .

Our troops overseas aren't the only ones in the line of fire.
