America, Meet Your Enemy
I'm not one who likes to do things for shock value alone. I'm a simple guy, really, and I like a simple life. I've been serving my country since I was 17, as a soldier and then a cop. Maybe I've earned some easy time, I don't know. My philosophy as a young Paratrooper was simple: I served my country in the same spirit as the men and women who had done so before me, and I did it with pride. And I hoped that my service, OUR service, would one day mean that my kids would never have to hear a shot fired in anger. Well, the kids are in high school now, and that hope is fading fast.
One of the first rules of warfare is know thy enemy. I learned this philosophy in the 82nd Airborne from fantastic Sergeants and the best Battalion Commander in the Army. I later taught this philosophy to my troopers as a young NCO. I've taught a similar philosophy to many, many police officers, and I teach it to my martial arts students.
Sun Tzu once said that "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle."
So it is in that spirit that I share this link with you: The Jawa Report: Beheading Desecration Video of Dead U.S. Soldiers Released on Internet by al Qaeda (Video/Images).
The video and pictures come from an internet site used by al Qaeda to promote their brand of hatred and filth.
Don't click that link lightly. Don't look at those pictures or that video unless you really want to meet the enemy that our troops in Iraq are facing everyday. But if you really want to see what we are up against, then be my guest.
We should know by now, shouldn't we? I mean, what kind of fanaticism does it take to fly a plane full of people into a building? What kind of hatred and rage does it take to blow up innocent women and children? These people are evil, and they mean to kill every single one of us if they can.
I think Americans need to see this. Maybe then more of us will understand what we are doing in Iraq, and around the world, and why it's so critically important that we beat these bastards.

Now I really know why I hate them rotten bastards! (to nice of a word for them). All of America needs to see this, and the assholes at the NY Times need to be indicted, not just for treason but for homicide. Know your enemy is so true. When I was a training officer in the ghetto areas of my city, I would have the recruits read the neighborhood paper, it was always an eye opener for them.
I tried to explain this to my grown kids back in 2001, they just thought I was an over-reacting ol' man who read too many strange books.
They don't think that anymore.

Righties we cannot kill everyone that hates us and trying only causes more people to hate us.
Strange Game the only way to win is not to play.
HC
Hear that, you "righties?" And he punctuates his point with a quote from that summer smash "Wargames." How utterly brilliant.

If we did not invade Iraq, our soldiers would not be dying in a Iraqi Civil War.
If we did not invaded Iraq, we could have won the Afghanistan War.
If we did invade Iraq, we would had enough troops to capture Bid Laden.
If we did not invade Iraq, the whole World would be on our side in the war of terror.
If we did not invade Iraq, we would have real credibility to deal with Iran.
By invading Iraq we lost all the above and Iraq too.
So how was invading Iraq not a losing game? The best move was not to invade. But the lust for Blood is more satisfying than real victory.
HC
Hey cupcake,
If you keep writing stuff like that, they'll never let you out of that hospital. Quick, run down to your local junior college and tell them that you want to take a World History class. It's probably hopeless, but it's worth a try.....
Mike
I see you read the Rove Bible of smearing people cannot beat in civil debate. Thanks for letting me know I am getting to you.
Actually we entered WWII after Japan attacked us. Do you remember Pearl Harbor?
I am sure it is in a History Book. I know I am dumb liberal, but didn't Germany Declare War on us before we attacked Germany?
I think that is in a History Book too.
I know that Afghanistan attack us, because I witness that attack.
But when did Iraq attack us? Maybe it is in a history book you can recommend.
Drunken-
I thought we photographed the naked guys in Abu Ghraib.
In Gitmo we played loud music, turned the temp down and strapped them to chairs until they pissed themselves.
Or was that at both? I can't keep track.
Also I have something to say about that video. It's fucking disgusting, and I hope we kill the bastards and kill everyone over there who's tortured, shot and bombed other Iraqis for being the "wrong" kind of Muslim. I don't know why I have to say it; I thought it was just assumed.
"Anonymous"...
Smearing you? I don't even know who you are. You post anonymously to hide your identity and, to be honest, so would I with your argument. But I guess that says something in and of itself.
As to the matter at hand, debating is like playing Go. You should try it sometime.
We did enter WWII after Japan attacked us, that's very good! Tell me, how many people died while the U.S. sat back and did nothing before that day in December? How many millions did the Japanese and Germans kill before we finally did something? How many Jews? And Brits? And Filipinos, and Frenchmen? Most of whom were completely innocent of anything. We waited until Japan attacked us before entering that war, but how many lives could have been saved if we had acted earlier? Maybe they figured that waiting until we were attacked was the only way Americans would support a war that would prove to be so devastating. During most of the war in Europe, Hitler stayed in a two-story home, with nothing but an elderly family friend as a guard downstairs. What would have happened in Europe if we had taken him out in the late 30's?
And if you read those history books I recommend, you might remember the first Gulf War. The one where Iraq attacked and invaded our ally, Kuwait. You might also remember that the only reason we didn't bomb Iraq forward to the stone age that time is because they surrendered, with terms.
Yet, they refused to honor the terms of their surrender. They continued to seek, buy and produce NBC components and technology. They continued to buy arms. They continued to shoot at our aircraft patrolling the "no fly" zones. They continued to support, and even arm, some of our other enemies. And they continued to threaten us and our allies. You seemed to have skipped a few chapters in your history book, friend.
Also, you might want to take an English class, your writing is deplorable. And you delude yourself, friend, if you think you are getting to me. Much better men than you have tried and failed. I've got a wall full of awards and certificates to prove it.
I'm writing a blog here, sir, not running a debate. Your opinion is always welcome. Thanks for taking the time to share with us.
Mike
When you take time to explain yourself without the insults, I understand what you are trying to say. I do not agree your opinions, but can respect what you are saying.
There is a point we agree on; I cannot self edit my writing worth a damn.
As far Iraq, I just think we would have been better off if we have taken the time and the effort to get Bin Laden. You think Iraq is worth letting Bin Laden off. Well, time will tell who is right.
I am happy for you that you have a wall full of awards and certificates that prove you are important. I only have love of my Family, Friends, Successful Career and Money to keep me Happy. If only I had that Wall of Awards, then I could be truly happy, successful, and important.
As far not wanting to debate at your Blog, if that's what you want I will bow out. It is your Blog and I respect the house rules of each Blog I visit.
Sincerely,
CupCake
PS I hate anyone who hurts our soldiers and I have family serving in Iraq. Still I believe the Iraq War is a loser’s game, but I hope I will be proven wrong.
Friend, if I ever insult you, trust me, you'll know it.
As for the rest, what will getting bin Laden get us? A feather in the cap, surely, but not much more. There are many more just like him, and some even insist he's not the driving force behind al Qaeda, anyway. Killing one man will not stop radical Islamists...killing them ALL will!
Look at the Middle East now. If Iraq was still under the control of Hussein, we would really be in trouble there. WW3 has already started, and the sooner we realize it and start fighting back, the better.
Cheers.
As a former Marine this bothers me very much. We need to stop them before it's too late.
EXCELLENT site!! A little more discriptive then most but well needed.
I'm praying for our troops over there, an hope we KILL "EM ALL! W
We are doing the right thing!
Mike
Does this mean that I should keep on commenting? Am I a welcome guest? I mean you have a wall of stuff and I am just a dumb liberal with piss poor writing skills who helps your cause with my words. So I guess you want to comment here.
Well thanks!!!
HC
Well, it seems we finally agree on someting, HC! But seriously, you're welcome to comment here whenever you like. Thanks for reading!
Excellent review on WW ll.(above)
I have sat here, and read through this conversation between anon and the owner of this blog, and think that there are now 4 things one cannot argue another into, sex, politics, religion, and now how to handle a terrorist. I know, that in general, Liberals feel that they can save the world, and conservatives, that they can make things better for today. but if you really look at history, it is not world war II that relates to the middle east, It is the crusades, and religion. remember the furor over the word crusading at the beginning of this thing? the average muslim cleric still feels, that after 1000 years, the west is nothing more than a crusading infidel. And, back to the word infidel, although many feel the Koran is a book of peace, it is only of such for those who become muslim. if you do not, you are infidel, and subject to all of those things we have seen in videos, and such.
We who worship the sanctity of life, do not, and never will, understand those who feel that life is just a step to use towards the next life. And since even they do not fully know what is on the other side of the veil, they just hope, or believe, that they are right. Well, so do we. But that is not acceptable. We may never understand what they believe, and they do not, for the most part, want to discuss the differences. We are just the infidels.
Our little arguments of liberal vs conservative dont mount to dirt in comparison to what they believe about us. We have learned to evolve in our beliefs, and leanings, over the years, and decades, (remember, civil rights was not a liberal idea, Al gore Sr was against it, along with the entire democartic party, and the democrats (liberals, remember) were the leaders of the south who wanted to keep slavery, and started the welfare state, and...but then, republicans, well, they had child labor problems, and financial monopolies, etc..) so, in the end, what we can talk about is just that, talk, we do need to work together, and find a way to either "convert" or ease the Muslim faith, or "nuke em all"....
Just al...(I really hope this makes some sense...figure it may, or may not...just my rambling thoughts...
nice blog by the way..
