Damnit, We're Serious This Time!

Note to Hezbollah.....

Israel doesn't seem to be kidding around this time!

Hezbollah guerrillas launched a cross-border raid today that lead to the capture of two more Israeli soldiers, and the deaths of several others.

Israeli PM Ehud Olmert called the raid an "act of war by the state of Lebanon against the state of Israel" and promised a "very painful and far-reaching" response.

And Syria wants to play, too: "Occupation is what provokes the Palestinian and Lebanese people," said Syrian VP Farouq al-Shara.

PM Olmert has called an emergency cabinet session, as has the Lebanese cabinet.

I guess we'll see who blinks first.

Reuters story.

I hope that they really tear them a new asshole before its over (including Syria).

But I was really disappointed in the IAs immediate response.

Sending that tank right into that IED. They should have known, that they had not only covered their retreat, but had planned on being chased.

That mistake cost them four dead.

I agree with both of you. This "measured" warfare we all seem to be waging is costing the front-line troops dearly. As for the tankers, God love 'em, I'd never get in one of those bullet magnets!
