Another Crooked Dem. Uses "R" Word

Rep. William Jefferson (D-La.) was stripped of his committee seat today, and has already begun playing the race card, after Cynthia McKinney's recent fine example. Jefferson had refused previous requests to step down from the House Ways and Means Committee. For once, Nancy Pelosi, who lead the charge against Jefferson, was on the right side. However, Jefferson indicated that he was unfairly removed because he is black.

As you may recall, Jefferson has been implicated in a bribery probe after the FBI found $90,000 in cash wrapped in foil in his freezer, after they filmed him accepting a $100,000 bribe. Jefferson maintains his innocence.

Jefferson seems to have been cut loose by the Dems, who are attempting to seize the moral high ground before the next election, amid the Republican "culture of corruption". Huh.
